



A dedicated educator, worship leader, preacher, and multi-talented performer from the Antelope Valley. She currently teaches 6th grade and serves as a leader in her school community. Beyond the classroom, Ashley is a gospel singer, songwriter, and the founder of Purity Over Popularity, a women’s organization that provides a safe space for women of all ages to become their highest self in Christ Jesus by promoting purity, building confidence, and deepening their understanding of God’s Word. She is honored to bring her passion for music and ministry to the stage.

Marvin “Mar L” Lawton is a modern-day Renaissance Man. By day he serves the community and empowers urban youth to be their best authentic selves. However, at night his passion still remains to keep love and romance thriving in this fast-paced, and now technology driven paradigm of relationships. As a three-time published author, he believes that romance will never go out of style, and what you say and, in this case, read, is something that can and must stand the test of time. He is also a musician and singer who works on numerous projects including a forthcoming smooth jazz album.

A singer and actress from Houston, Texas, now based in Los Angeles, California. She is honored to portray Sharmaine in this production — a deeply serious and traumatic role that marks new territory in her acting career. Previously, she starred as a lead actress in gospel stage plays including So You Think the Grass Is Greener and The Beauty Shop. Musically, she is influenced by icons such as Mary J. Blige, Anita Baker, Jazmine Sullivan, and Brandy. Her distinct raspy voice makes her a memorable and unique presence both on and off the stage.
A licensed minister with extensive experience in church leadership and the performing arts. His notable roles include vocal performances in productions like "1st Lady of Zion," "Let the Church Roll On," and "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not," where he showcased his talents as a musician and vocalist.
Professionally, Sean has served as a youth pastor, Sunday School superintendent, and associate minister, significantly impacting his community through his dedication to worship and fellowship. His role as a chaplain for the Los Angeles Police Department further highlights his commitment to service and community engagement, merging faith with law enforcement.
Sean's musical involvement includes being a choir director, minister of music, and praise leader, emphasizing his skills as a songwriter and producer. His rich background underscores his passion for using music as a transformative tool in the church and beyond.

Helena Sherman has been gracing the stage and working behind the scenes for over two decades. A proud member of the WOW Conference acting crew for 20 years, she has also served as a band member, BGV, and a stage manager for productions across Cincinnati Ohio, Austin Texas, and Southern California. With a rich history in theater and a passion for performance, she is thrilled to return to the spotlight in The House of Reds, ready to share her God-given gifts with the world once again.

In addition to her soulful leadership in worship, she is an accomplished actor, having performed in numerous theatrical productions that showcase her diverse talents.
As a licensed minister, Kokwenda dedicates her life to serving her community, using her gifts to inspire and encourage those around her. A devoted mother of three, she balances her family life with her ministry work seamlessly.
Kokwenda is also a prophetic song composer, crafting heartfelt melodies that resonate with messages of hope and faith. In her role as Director of Logistics at The Word Center, she ensures that every event runs smoothly, demonstrating her exceptional organizational skills and dedication to her church's mission. With her multifaceted talents and unwavering faith, Kokwenda Butler continues to make a profound impact in the lives of many.

Camisha Loughridge by trade is a Registered Nurse since 2002. By passion, she is an avid writer! She has been published in several pieces such as, “The Space Between, The National Library of Poetry” and “Good Times and Bad, an Anthology of Poetry, Artwork and Prose by Inner City Youth”. In addition to these accomplishments, she has also written, produced, directed and starred in several productions such as “Church Folks as the Worst Folks”, “Never Leave Me Nor Forsake Me”, and “My Story”. Camisha has previously held a role in the hit stage play, “The House of Reds”. Presently she serves as, Worship Leader, Minister of Music, along side her husband and also music Ministry Coordinator. She is a fitness enthusiast and a half marathoner! In her 53 years, she has accomplished much but her greatest accomplishments are creating and raising 3 amazing humans!
